Arizona Market Report
The number of home foreclosures soared in 2007, both in Arizona and around the country.
Arizona ranked eighth in the U.S. in number of foreclosures, with nearly 70,000 filings, but that accounts for only 1.5 percent of all homes in the state.
The latest research from RealtyTrac Inc. finds that the total U.S. foreclosure filings -- including default notices, auction sale notices and bank repossessions -- grew 75 percent from 2006 to 2007 but again, this amounts to only 1 percent of all U.S. households.
